Warm bread with extra virgin olive oil, rubbed with garlic and sprinkled with parsley. Fantastically good garlic bread.
1 french stick, ciabatta loaf, or small bread rolls
2-3 garlic cloves, cut in half
Sea salt flakes & freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
Heat grill to 180°c. Slice bread (if using French stick, slice on an angle to get larger slices) spray each one with olive oil spray and grill until a light golden colour. Remove from grill and rub over garlic clove, sprinkle with salt, pepper and parsley and enjoy.
Why it's good for you
Garlic bread is usually made with lashings of butter. I haved used a little oil which is really all you need for all flavours to shine through. Skeptical? Try it and you'll never go back. My kids love this and they adore anything dripping with butter.
